JENKINS, Arthur William

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Shalom Village on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in his 97^th year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Piott). Cherished father of the late Gail Buwalda, Pam Savelli (Rick), Bill (Lisa), Sherry Chisholm (John). Much loved grandfather of Norman (Jen), Christine (Todd), Hilary (Brian), Carmen (Babis), Curtis (Jessica), Lindsay (Shaheed), Jarrett, Mallory (Matthew) and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Marjorie Shakeshafe Brandreth and the late Dorothy Carl. Will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Arthur retired after a 30 year career with Canadian Canners and enjoyed many years of retirement with his loving wife and family. Shalom Village became Arthur’s home over the last few years, and the wonderful staff became his extended family. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Shalom Village for all of their extraordinary love, support and care, especially over the last week. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
