Obituary of Oliver Ross Freeman

FREEMAN, Oliver Ross

April 25, 1924-April 20, 2019

Oliver passed away peacefully in the home he was born in, with his family by his side. Cherished husband of Doris (Lowden) for 71 ½ years. Father of his “favourite” daughters; Linda (Geoff Lowes), Florence (John Shabone) and Olla (Troy Smillie). Dear papa of Michelle (Glenn Belliveau), Debbie, and Glenn MacDonald. Sadly, missed by great-granddaughters Brooke, Emma, Laura, Julia and Avery. Son of the late Andrew and Esther (Weaver) Freeman. A farmer his entire life, Oliver was passionate of his award-winning dairy cattle and crops, and alongside Doris, worked tediously to provide for his family. We will miss his smile, sense of humour and that twinkle he had in his eye. Special thanks to LHIN, Bayshore and CBI for their kindness and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, April 24th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, April 25th from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Binbrook United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Binbrook United Church, Hamilton Health Sciences or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
