McGUIGAN, Daniel David
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Friday, March 1, 2019, after a courageous battle with gastric cancer. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 7, 1952. Predeceased by parents Annie and David McGuigan. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Andrea and Moira (Spencer), and their mom Doris. Dear brother of Frances, Maureen (Myles, deceased), James, David (Debbie, deceased), Bernadette, John (Sherri), Caroline, Angela (Gilbert), and Randolph. Fun-loving uncle who will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and family members both in Canada and Scotland. Dan was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had previously owned his own company, Custom Carpentry. He was a proud member of the Local 18 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and will be greatly missed by many friends and coworkers. The family would like to thank Dr. O. Levine, Diane, and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre; Dr. D. Hong, Amanda, and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the visiting home care nurses; and all the wonderful staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for all of their support. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Daniel's Life will be held at Stoney Creek United Church, 1 King St. W., Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, March 6. 2019 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.
