I had the privelege of working for Mr. George Leng from 1991 through till 1993.
George was a man of principle and his word was his word, he loved people and always saw the best in people. He was a Godly man and it showed in the way he operated his business and the way he treated his staff, customers and the community. I was a young man in my early twenties then and this was my first job. I have fond memories of George and his family and my time in Canada.
My condolences to the Leng family and all that knew him as a friend.
God Bless

Way back in 1987, George rented a car to me so I could go to Winnipeg and visit family while on furlough. My wife and I were missionaries with Worldwide Evangelization for Christ International.
On returning the car I wrote him a cheque for the rental. After several months there was still no record of the debit to my bank statement. I called his office and was told I owed nothing to George's company.
I still think it was a sly way to support our ministry. What a great person! Thanks, George.

We are saddened to hear that George passed away but know he is with the Lord and at peace. He was a well respected member of our business community and always treated us fairly. When Ed sold our business (Ed’s Auto Service, Beamsville) two years ago, George made a point to come to our retirement party and wish us well - a very kind gesture. He will be missed.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Leng’s passing. He was one of the nicest men I have ever known. My Dad worked for Mr. Leng for many years at George Leng Motors and I have many fond memories, as a child, watching the Grimsby Santa Claus Parade from the showroom window.
After leaving Grimsby, Mr. Leng always made a point of staying in touch or dropping by the house whenever time permitted.
I have a wonderful picture of my Dad, my Uncle Theron, Mr. Leng and a fourth man, who I do not recognize, all sitting in a brand new convertible car with the top down. They all have the biggest grins on their faces. I will always cherish that photo.
My sincerest sympathy to Karey, Karl and the Leng family.

Many great memories of George's leadership at church, to buying and servicing our cars. His generosity, pleasing disposition, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to us all. Until we meet again, good friend.

We sorrow with you at your loss. George was a godly and generous man. He taught us the Bible when we were teenagers and he was always encouraging. I later bought two cars from him. He will be well remembered and greatly missed.

There are so many memories of George and his late wife Ruth and the children. "Babysitting" the three little ones. Talking about so many things. I still have a message from George on my answering machine from about three Christmases ago. Bought my first two cars from George and had some repairs done on an other vehicle while visiting the "south". They were always an example for me of loving parents, living the Christian life and so much more. I am sure the extended family has many more happy memories. My condolences on your present loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
George never missed an opportunity to include Mark, whether their timmies times, speaking positively into his life or trusting Mark with the use of the automobile.
He will be greatly missed. Until we are reunited again.

Uncle George will always be remembered as the generous, kind man that he was to Paul and me. He’d slip us Tim Horton’s gift cards and make Christmas phone calls - always with a twinkle in his eyes and voice. Our love goes to Sandra and George’s family. May peace be yours.
Love, Cousin Paul Smith and Alix Mabee

I shall miss my friend, George. I first got to know him at Winona Gospel Church in the fifties. He was Sales Manager at Slessor Motors when I worked there. He was a great supporter during our missionary time in Germany and Austria. He remained a close friend and encourager during the time of my wife's bout with dementia. On every visit George and I met for breakfast or lunch or coffee to recall the journey of life we were on. We cried and laughed together. Yes, I will miss his calls and our times together. My condolences to the family. Bless you all.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of George. He was a wonderful and trusted friend of the Slessor family. During his early years, George was instrumental in assisting Bob and Miriam to establish the family business in Grimsby (Slessor Motors Limited). His contributions to the success of the Sales department and loyalty as a true friend shall always be remembered. My father spoke highly of George and recognized he could not have achieved his goals without his dedication. George was gifted with a magnetic personality and a tremendous positive outlook to life. He never forgot his friends. In the later years, we all looked forward to George's many visits to the dealership and his warm handshake. George never missed a Christmas with his personal greetings.
We offer our sincere sympathy to the Leng family and extended family members. God bless you.
