Obituary of Evelyn M. Wills

WILLS, Evelyn M. (nee Corman)

Peacefully on February 2, 2019 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard Wills. Loving mother of Carol Jones, Elaine Armstrong (Wayne), Doug Bartlett, Ellen Deane, and Patsy Wills. Cherished grandma of Doug, Sharla (Jason), Amy (Fabio), Ben (Shy-Anne), Andrea (Jerry), Julie (Darrin), and Marshal (Jenifer), and G.G. to Luisa, Marco, Addison, Carter, Raya, and Rex. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Grace, brother Lloyd, and sister Thelma. Evelyn was a teacher with the Wentworth County Board of Education, Past President of the Woman's Canadian Club (Hamilton Chapter) and member of the Stoney Creek Historical Society. Evelyn loved spending time with her beloved cats, gardening, and travelling. She was proud of her Corman Heritage and the family's long history in the Stoney Creek area. For most of her years, she lived in her family home that was built in 1810. Special thank you to the staff at Idlewyld Manor and The Wellington for their wonderful and compassionate care. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive in Stoney Creek on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at The Church of The Redeemer at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Interment to follow at Fifty Cemetery, Winona. In lieu of flowers, donations to Idlewyld Manor Family Council Flower Fund would be appreciated.
