CSERVENYAK, John George

After a one year battle with cancer, John passed away surrounded by his family, at the Juravinski Hospital, on Sunday, January 27, 2019, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Beverly. Loved father of Cathy Moore (Jeff) and John Jr. (Margaret). Cherished Papa of K.K. (Caitlin), J.J. (Jennifer), A. C. (Alexxa), and Hailler (Haille). John is survived by his sisters-in-law Rose and Gwen (Doug) and is predeceased by his sister Anne (Vince), his brother Frank and brother-in-law Peter. Will also be missed by his niece and nephews. John enjoyed going to the casino with his late wife Beverly and continued to go since her passing in 2006. He was also an avid football fan and enjoyed cheering on the Tiger-Cats. Special thank you the staff at the Juravinski Hospital for your care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit the family at the home of Cathy and Jeff Moore, 12 Parkvista Place, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, February 9 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. for a celebration of John’s life.
