MACAULAY, Elizabeth Neilson “Betty”

Passed away peacefully, at New Village Retirement Home on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Austin (Ozzie). Much loved mother of Elizabeth (Liz) Manto and her late husband Les Bleasdale, Georgina (Gina) Church and her late husband Douglas. Cherished grandmother of Tina Syer (Rob Deachman), Paula Swick (Rob), Tim Church (Erika), Ruth Church (Simon Langler) and great-grandmother of Tyler, Steven, Justyn, Jason, Brandon, Madeleine and Lauchlan. Predeceased by her siblings James, William and Jean. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Ozzie and Betty were lifetime members of National Steel Car War Veterans Club. Special thank you to dear neighbours Mary and Jack Simmons and to Penny and the staff at New Village Retirement Home for their loving care. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 24 Mountain Avenue S., Stoney Creek (James Lee Suites) from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
