EVANS, Robert “Bobby”
In loving memory of Robert “Bobby” Sanford Evans, taken from this life too early on January 22, 2019 in his 30th year. He will be remembered by his loving partner Lauren Desmarais. Cherished son of Linda and the late Fraser Evans. Beloved brother of Philip (Amanda) and Nathan. Cherished grandson of M. Magdalene MacDonald of PEI. Loved deeply by his friends, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Bobby loved animals; especially cats, his hobbies included geocaching, computer programming, road trips and going to various events in surrounding cities. Bobby was actively involved in Scouts Canada and served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves in the 11th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA (Guelph, Hamilton). He attended Bellmore Elementary, Saltfleet High School and studied computer sciences at Mohawk College in Hamilton, University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa and Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in Kitchener-Waterloo. He was a valued employee at Gordon Food Service for many years. Bobby will be remembered for his big smile and adventurous spirit as well as his brilliance. He was known for his courage in difficult times and battled his depression until ultimately it became a terminal illness. Special thanks to the support from his friends, family, GFS, and Toronto Police Service. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11 a.m. to celebrate his life until the time of the service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m.
