Obituary of Tony Anker
ANKER, Tony
With great regret and shattered hearts, we announce the tragic passing of our much loved Dad, on Sunday, December 16, 2018 while at work in Nunavut at the age of 63. He will be deeply missed and loved forever by his daughters Jen (Jamie) and Dagny. Paths may have changed, but he was married to Linda (Niedzwiedz) for 41 years. He will be sadly missed by his chihuahua Louis. "Toe" will be forever in the heart of his sister Nay and her husband little Jimmy Finton, who was a bestfriend to dad for so many years. "Uncle Toe" will be missed by his nieces and nephew, Melissa (Jeremy), Shawna, Jeremy and Ashlee (Robbie). Dad is now reunited and surrounded by love from his mother, Jenny, dad Jerry, and brother Pete. He will be missed by his extended family and many friends, near and far. Dad was the perfect dad. He loved unconditionally and was always there. He lived selflessly and would help anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. He was the epitome of strength, perseverance, integrity and love. He had a talent of driving. He was the proud owner operator of Anker Haulage for over 20 years and then moved on to drive and train others in a 777 Haul Truck. He will be remembered for his love of riding and building Harley Davidsons. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 1-3pm and 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
