Obituary of Margaret Lewis

LEWIS, Margaret (nee Harley)

With heavy hearts and memories to cherish the matriarch of our family, Margaret passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Mervyn Lewis and her son-in-law Allan Barnwell. She leaves behind her children Alan (Theresa), Kathie and Shirley. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tanya (Meaghan), Brad, Karyn (Morgan), Matt (Vanessa), and great-grandchildren Kayla, Isabelle and Parker. Margaret was a retired employee of Westinghouse Canada. She will be missed by her long-time friends Kent and Sandy Darby and Bob and Liz Heist. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek to Celebrate the Life of Mervyn and Margaret on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Place them in my Mother’s arms

and tell her they’re from me.

Tell her I love and miss her and

when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek and

hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day,

But there’s an ache within my heart

That will never go away.
