Passed away peacefully, at Heritage Green Nursing Home, on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Jean. Cherished father of Debbi and Don Shakeshaft, Patti and Joe Sferrazza, Wendy and John McCaffrey, Bill and Susan, Robert, Susan Hadall, Dennis, Charlie and Kathy, James and Miranda. Devoted grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 6. Predeceased by his sister Lola. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid golfer and card player. Special thanks to the staff at Heritage Green for all of their care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Vigil prayers 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
