My apologies for the extreme tardiness of this response to the Giavedoni family. Nello was a Prince among men. Nello was my baseball coach at Roxborough Park back in the 70's. I remember Nello owning a Blue Chrysler Cordoba with a tape of the Eagles Hotel California in the cassette player. Nello was a real gentelman and a players' coach. I have wonderful memories from those formative years of Mr. Giavedoni. We had some great teams back then. Our team was blessed to have Nello and Len Parisi as our coaches. We went to the CANUSA Games in 1974 in Flint, MI. Awesome memories of a fine man indeed!! Rest peacefully dear coach.

Sad to here of Mr Giavedoni passing he was my baseball coach and was easily the best coach that I had in the many sports I played. Was a real gentleman with a ton of patience and dedication. Your family should be proud to call you there father Frank Fozo

To my cousins Ann, Marty, Karen and Rudi I am so sorry to hear about Nello, unfortunately many yrs have passed since we last enjoyed each other company but I have never and will never forget our christmas together , you always made us feel so welcome . And of course it all started with Nello's trademark cheek pinch and a big hug. Our dad was always so appreciative of all Nello did for him when he immigrated to Canada and still speaks of that often. Loved this amazing man like a second dad, he was so patient and kind and giving, he is missed every single day, I have the most wonderful memories of him teaching me how to golf and watching him teach and mentor my 3 boys, he is missed and will always be remembered with a smile

Dear Nello my memories of you are of a big joyful soul. We came to celebrate Christmas on so many occasions as a young boy and I was always greeted by you and the family with such warmth. You would squeeze me and my siblings cheeks with both hands and it is a memory that has stayed with me for my entire life. I would ask my mother upon leaving if you were family and upon hearing we were cousins it meant something special to me. I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I will never forget you.
