GILLIE, Edith

June 20, 1922 – November 21, 2018

Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Robert Gillie. Cherished mother of Janice McIsaac (Jim), Bob (Carol), Terry, Wendy Dougan (the late Jim), and the late Stephen (Jane). Loved grandmother of Paul (Kristen), Michael (Philip), David (Yasmin), Alan, Karen (Jarrod), Raiden, Chandra, Sienna, Rob, Deb (Scott), Joanne (Greg), Mike (Kathryn) and great-grandmother of Reece, Cameron, Toby, Nora, Emma, Hillary, Robert, Christopher, Jonathan, Ashton, Daniel, and Jennifer. Dear sister of Connie Woolvett, the late Marjorie Larson and the late Alice Woolvett. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Emily Jolley and Thomas Beadle. Special thanks to Martha and the Sharon’s. Edith was a lifetime member of The Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch 622, Stoney Creek. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622, 12 King St. E., Stoney Creek on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. with a Service by the Ladies Auxiliary at 6 p.m. In Edith’s memory, donations to Mission Services or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
