McEWEN, Elizabeth (Bette)

Passed away peacefully, at Albright Manor on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her dear husband Harold. Loving mom to Janice and Jim (Maryjane). Wonderful Nana to Ryan and Aaron Catherwood and her granddaughter Samantha McEwen. Predeceased by her brothers Tom and Jim Hamilton. Survived by her brother Jack and his wife Christine. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends who were like family. Special thank you to Dr. Kim Bender and the staff at Albright who cared for mom with kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Breast Cancer or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
