Dear Chris and Family
Please accept my heartfelt condolences to all of you on the loss of a beautiful soul I have just noticed this.
I worked with Yolanda and you also Chris, many years ago at Maplex/Abstainers Ins.
Remembering her as always happy, smiling and very helpful.
I am saddened that the past few years that we think of someone, we find them under sad times.

I was lucky to have known and loved Yolanda for the last 6 years. She was an amazing teammate, but more importantly she was my "work mom". She was a force: adept to all things considered chaotic, she tolerated my poor multitasking skills and taught me how to balance my work and home life. Often at work, during my many rants about my toddler, she would reminisce about her own daughters, and told stories about raising them, and what she would say to her 'young ladies' (including her chosen punishment for wrongdoers). Yo had gumption! I always admired her firm but guiding wisdom. She was a wonderful woman, and I will always cherish the time and lessons life allowed me to have with her.
My heart goes out to Chris and the girls, Yolanda will be greatly missed.

I have only had a chance to work with Yo on a small number of projects, and only got to see her in the occasional meeting or chance encounter in the hallway. More than anything I will remember her incredible positive energy and the enthusiastic smile and greeting I always received. From the moment I met her I knew she was someone who could brighten anyone's day in an instant. I am eternally grateful for having known her, even in a limited capacity. There are a large number of people you will meet over the course of your life. Some you will forget almost as quickly as you met them. Some will be people you remember for a while, but over the years, they too will fade from memory.
The last group are the ones that make an impact on your life leading to the fact that you will never forget them. Yolanda was one of those people. I am truly sorry for all that knew/loved her, as we will all have to contend with the hole that has been left.

Yol and I had been working together more than ten years, we argued, fought in our meetings normally, but when time came she would helped me out without hesitations. I met Yolanda when she got engaged to Christopher I immediately loved her beauty..and then of course the ring.. absolutely incredible..fit for a princess..later I had the honour of babysitting two awesome girls..Alex and Erica.. they were her pride and joy.. after moving to Ottawa I didn't see much of the family but every Christmas Yolanda would send me a card ....I will pray for her gentle kind spirit and laugh about the good times.
