POMPONIO, Vera Pasqua

Peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018 surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in her 80^th year.  Beloved wife of the late Franco.  Dearest mother of Silvio Michael, mother-in-law of Mark Pomponio-Hensler. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Tosello (deceased) and Elia Pomponio, Lina (deceased) and Antonio Gobbetti and the late Antonio and Gilsa Granata.  Dearly missed by nieces and nephews and their families; Vanna, Nick, Vanessah, Ryan, Ely and Alessia Farina, Antonette, Valentino, Brandon and Lucas Dal Bello, Silvio David, Rose, Christian and Alexander Pomponio and Nadia Gobbetti. Vera was a retired employee of the Wentworth County Board of Education.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 5 to 9  p.m. Vigil prayers Sunday 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Highway #8 and Green Rd., Stoney Creek on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10 a.m.  Entombment to follow at Bayview Mausoleum, Burlington.  Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca.
