Obituary of Al Genesiee

GENESIEE, Al

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Al on Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in his 80th year.  Beloved husband and best friend of Pat for over 56 loving years.  Predeceased by his mother Ursula, father Alphonso, brother John (Angelina) and sisters Patricia (Don) and Louisa.  Al was a special brother-in-law to Lynne and her husband John DiLoreto, Ethel McKay (the late Frank) and the late Ardath Ann.  Uncle Al aka “Unc” will be forever missed by his many nieces and nephews, godchildren, extended family and special nephew of Aunt Ardath Rice. Thank you to our towers of strength, Lynne and John DiLoreto, Mary Kay and John Genesiee and our dear friend Father Charlie Galea, neighbour Nikki Foster and many, many loving friends. A special thank you to the medical stepdown unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their love and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Incarnation Parish, Barton St. and Nash Rd., Hamilton at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Incarnation Parish or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
