MITCHELL, Donna Ruth

On September 21, 2018, Donna slipped away peacefully into the arms of the Lord to dance with Roger, her beloved husband.    She was an amazing mother to William (Cynthia), Elaine (Ted), Lori (Peter) and Robert (Dawn).  Precious and loving grandmother of Lauren, Candice, Amy, Kayla, Michael, Nicole, Jessica and great-granddaughter Skylah.  She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many special friends. With Donna, there was no difference between family and friends; friends were chosen family.  Donna was always active in the community through her volunteering, a proud member with UCW, 4-H Club, Binbrook Agricultural Society, CNIB and so many more.  She touched the lives of so many with her creative crafts and handiwork.  Her warm heart and caring nature will be cherished by those who knew her. Please join us at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at Binbrook United Church on Wednesday, September 26th at 11 a.m.  Interment to follow at Binbrook United Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kidney Research Foundation.  Donna received exemplary care and never ending support from Dr. A. Ingram and his Nephrology team for many years.  A special thank you to the ER, CCU, 7th floor staff for their compassion throughout Donna’s final journey.
