Obituary of Grace Elizabeth Braun

BRAUN, Grace Elizabeth

Peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by her loving family in her 72nd year.  Beloved wife of Ed Braun for over 51 years. Loving mother of son Bill (Jung Mi) of Stratford, and cherished daughter Teri (James Eaton) of Burlington, her second set of "ears”.  Devoted grandmother of Andrew and Bradley Eaton of Burlington and Aeryn Braun of Stratford. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Louise Cino of Hamilton, Marie (Ken Walker) of Collingwood, Louise (Jim Jones) of Binbrook, lrene Braun of Binbrook, and Carl and Sally Braun of Parry Sound. Daughter of the late Florence Shannon and the late Charles Cino. Blessed to have shared a lifelong friendship (over 50 years) with Elizabeth Johnstone, we had a good run. Many thanks for all the support, love and encouragement from Liz, Louise and Jim, lrene Fullarton and Carl and family. Grace and Ed enjoyed travelling and visited many diverse locations.   Summers were spent on Frying Pan lsland, Georgian Bay where she enjoyed her family, the regatta, book club and bridge. Each year was a new adventure. Grace was a former employee of Bell Canada with 18 years service. A lifelong resident of Hamilton Mountain, she was a member of the Historical Society and Emmanuel United Church. Grace is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and goddaughter Leslie Regan.  Cremation has taken place.  Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel United Church, 871 Upper Ottawa Street in Hamilton.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (www.warplane.com) or Emmanuel United Church (www.emmanueluc.com).  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca.
