Obituary of Toshiko (Ruth) Murakami

MURAKAMI, Toshiko (Ruth)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing, while surrounded by her family on August 23, 2018 in her 101st year at Greater Niagara General Hospital.  Beloved wife of the late Toshio.  Cherished mother of Wayne, Laurie, Terry (Alice), Donna and grandmother of Caroline.  She will be fondly remembered by her brother Tom and his wife Louise, sister Kay and her husband Bill, sister-in-law Masae and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her brothers Mas (Sats), Min (Sumi), Tsutomu and sisters Hisako, Sumiko and Susie (Nobby).  There are no words to describe her inner beauty, kindness towards others, loving and unselfish nature.  Special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Greater Niagara General and to Dr. Paul Andrus and Dr. Scott Stevenson for their personal and exceptional care.  Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements are entrusted to Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 905-662-2948.  An interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
