I was so saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing. He played bass guitar in my band for about a year but rock & roll was his passion and he moved on to form Ronnie & The Rockets. We were friends for a very long time and I have to say Ronnie always made me laugh! We had such great fun when he was in my band Blue Water Country and I will always cherish those times. The world is a sadder place with him gone now, but I'm sure he's up there playing rock & roll with the best! RIP my dear friend

I just feel sick. I just found this notice by accident tonight as I was browsing my fb page and I found this.I am so sorry for his family. Joe and I met Ronnie when they played at Lobsterfest in Dundas back in 1999 and when we heard their awesome music we asked if he did Wedding Receptions and he said they did. Shortly after we started to frequent the Gladstone Tavern in Hamilton just to dance to their music. He gave us a great deal for our wedding so he and his band did our Reception in Oakville on May 27,2000. We had an awesome time and EVERYBODY told us that they made our wedding the best one they'd ever been too. WOW. We adored him and we'd try to follow them to show up and surprise them. We last saw the band at the Wobbly Scotsman when we went for Joe's b-day to surprise Ronnie but he wasn't there. Apparently he lost a family member and was taking care of the funeral. We were so upset at not seeing him to surprise him. He will be really missed and I'm sorry we didn't even know he was sick.

Gone too soon Ronnie. I know Auntie Betty and Uncle Bud and Bruce will be there to greet you on the other end. I remember being a kid and we would come to visit all of you. Always a lot of laughs in the Lodge home.
