Obituary of Howard Malcolm Copland

COPLAND, Howard Malcolm

Howard Malcolm Copland of Hamilton passed away at the Juravinksi Hospital on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 91.  He will live on in the hearts of his children, Cheryl Dell (Bob) of Smithville, Erlene Wilcox of Hamilton, Allan of Mount Hope, Mary Hales (Jeff) of Hamilton, Paul (Carol) of Mount Hope, Brenda Parkinson of Waterford, Rosemary Copland-Howard of Cambridge, Stephan (Lori) of Hamilton, Keith (Katharine) of Hamilton, and Michael (Shelley) of Cambridge.  Also, remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  Predeceased by his wife Florence (nee Albrecht), son William (Bill) and Phyliss (nee Young).  Howard enjoyed many years as a fuel tanker driver for BA, Gulf Oil and Petro-Canada.  He was an avid square dancer, clogger, an awesome Father, Dad, Papa, Great Papa and Poppoh.  Special thanks to the Juravinski Hospital especially Dr. Akbar Panju, Dr. Shariq Haider, Dr. Ahraz Wyne, their teams and the RACE team for all their exceptional care. Last, but not least the amazing nurses in OPS, B3, E3 and the palliative care nurse Irene.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 14th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. followed the Funeral Service at Church of the Nativity, 1831 King St. E., Hamilton at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Notes sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
