So sorry to hear of your loss.We met Roland many years ago when he lost his first wife Jeannine..Roland was a very active member at Notre Dame Church Parish...He was the life of the party.Always a beautiful smile even though things were not right .Then Roland had a stroke that took a while for him to combat but he pulled through with flying colors..We moved from Hamilton to Fort Erie about 11 years ago so we lost contact .You will be missed by many my dear friend. You have fought the fight and now you are seated at the table with Jesus ..Until we meet again...To Lila and all his children and friends ,our deepest condolences .May he Rest In Peace †
Prayer for his Soul
V. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
R. And let the perpetual light shine upon him.
And may the soul of this faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Roland moved into the UMH in Vineland around the same time as my mom. We always chatted with him and his ever ready smile. He was always willing to help particularly at the beginning when his health was better and he would be found in the dining hall helping the staff set tables or doing other little jobs to help out. He enjoyed that so much. He always was kind to my mom and she would ask about him often and was glad when he moved back upstairs. We know he will be missed very much by his family and we send our deepest condolences to you all. Thank you always for being so kind to mom, Lorraine. We will all miss seeing him on our visits.

We got to know Roland during our mother's, Bruna, time at The United Mennonite Home.
Roland was a good friend to our mother.
Then we became friends with Roland and his daughters.
The one thing I learned and will remember from Roland.....is to always smile, be happy and laugh....no matter what the circumstances.
Our thoughts and condolences to the family.

I was Roland's P.S.W. prior to him moving into his home in Vineland. If one were to look in the dictionary for the words complaint, compassionate, and caring one would see a picture of Roland. Working for Roland was a breeze for the simple reason that he was a team player. He knew that I had a job to do and he worked with me as a team player to get that job done. When my tasks were completed we'd sit together and have a coffee and breakfast. After breakfast I'd take Roland and his forever demanding Bichon Shih Tzu named Cloe' for a walk.
I found out through the grapevine that Roland brought his genuine personality to his home in Vineland where he was so very much well loved.
I remember my last day with Roland prior to him going into Vineland, it was a extremely emotional day because things had not gone exactly as the family had planned and Roland had to go into a home. I remember his daughter Carole saying, "Dad if I ever win the lottery, I moving you back home with me".
You are and will always be well loved and missed Roland.

My deepest sympathies to all of your family. Roland was a great friend to my dad Gaston Labbe and I will never forget when he used to come and be Santa for us at Woodhouse Furniture during Christmas time. He did an awesome job with the children and really seemed to enjoy it. He sure was a happy guy and seemed to love people and his church.
He was also there to talk to when my dad got sick and I really appreciated his kindness and support. I will always remember how sad Roland was when my dad passed away.
I keep you all in my prayers.
