Obituary of James Bryson

BRYSON, James

Sunrise June 17, 1934

Sunset July 10, 2018

Jim died peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital with his family at his side.   Beloved husband of Anne for 61 years and dearly loved Father of Paul, Anne Marie (Larry), Sheila (Rod), Gregory and Laura (Charles).  Loving Grandfather to Kristin and Ryan, Michael and Laura, Brendan, Devanne and Corbin, Tyler and Chelsea and Great-Grandfather to Scarlette, Priya, Suraya and Mila. Brother of Thomas (Sandra) and Margaret (Ian) who were both very much loved by their big brother. Predeceased by nephew Paul and brother-in-law Ian.  Jim is survived by many family members in Canada, Scotland and England. Special mention to his cousin Danny from Simcoe, brother-in-law Allan (Nancy), sister-in-law Lillias and their families who provided a great deal of support for our family. When Jim came to Hamilton, he worked for Bertram's in Dundas as a Tool and Die maker and worked on the famous Avro Arrow, Tridon in Burlington where he was Plant Manager and for the Ministry of Labour as an Inspector and Mediator.  Jim loved to golf, paint and sing and enjoyed travelling especially the cruises we took with Denis Snowdon and all our Scottish friends.  Many thanks to all the nurses and Doctors and the support staff at St. Peter's and all his other Doctors who attended to him over the years.   Thanks also to all our friends at Amica in Stoney Creek for all their visits and well wishes. The family will receive friends at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, July 13, 2018, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m.   Vigil prayers 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Good Shepherd or City Kidz. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
