Obituary of Joyce Conrad

CONRAD, Joyce (nee Downton) of Fonthill, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved mother has passed away peacefully in her sleep at Welland Hospital on June 15, 2018 just 2 days shy of her 86th birthday, surrounded by her loving daughter, son and son-in-law. Predeceased by her husband, Walter (1932-2000), son Wayne (1956-2013) and siblings Henry, Betty and Jim. Joyce is survived by daughter, Janet Reid (husband Rob), son Sheldon Conrad (wife Cathy), Cathy Conrad (wife of son Wayne) and her loving grandchildren; Lauren, Hilary, Courtney, Christina, Allyson, Melanie, and Bradley along with five great-grandchildren. Joyce’s commitment to the Lord and Church always shone through. She will be remembered for her devotion as church organist at Delta Tabernacle, a long-time employee at the T. Eaton Company and for her joyous smile and laugh - but mostly her love and dedication to her family. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 19^th at 11:30 a.m.  Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.   Janet and Sheldon offer their heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Lookout Ridge Retirement Residence and the wonderful 6th floor nursing staff at Welland Hospital for their kindness and guidance.
