HOITING, Ray (Reint)

May 28, 1932 - June 4, 2018 

With deep sadness we announce the sudden death of our dear husband, Dad and Opa. He went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the age of 86. Loving husband of Willy (Storteboom), thankful to have just celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 24.

Loving Dad and Opa of Linda and Tony Jeronimus, Jon and Kate (Arya and Kara), Joshua, Tim and Erica (Lyla and Kenyon), Tara; Coby Hoiting; Brian and Veronica Hoiting, Raymond and Kaitlin, Daniel and Stephanie (Emit, Aubrie, Seth), Nolan, Aaron, Connor; Brenda and Ed Selke, Stephen, David and Courtney, Rachel and Mike; Richard and Carla Hoiting, Jordan and Amanda (Arien and Eli); Nick, Vashti and Mark, Nathaniel, Jessica and Calvin; Liz and Colin Elkin, Rayissa, Morgan, Kamryn, Tristan. The family also sends condolences to Tante Lies Devries (Jaap decd), Oom Piet (Henny decd) and Tena Hoiting, Tante Betty and Henk Horinga, Tante Dini (Siep decd) and Don Vandermeer, Tante Annie and Bernard Evers. In Heaven dad is passing out peppermints with brothers Klaas (Jo) and Siep, and sister Martha (Fedde) Visser and best friend Bill Lamberink. Also condolences to the many Hoiting and Storteboom in-laws, nieces and nephews, and their families, who were so loved by dad. Revelation 21:3-4 ".... God himself will be with them and be their God.  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, no sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek.  Celebration of Life will be held at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, 805 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. Private interment to take place.
