Obituary of Alice Guthrie

GUTHRIE, Alice

Peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in her 94^th year at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas.  Cherished mother of Robert (Rita), Alice Osbourne, and mother-in-law of Sandra.  Predeceased by her sons Douglas and Lloyd.  Beloved grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Alice enjoyed playing cards with the same group of friends she has known since WWII and later with her co-workers.  Special thanks to the Binbrook Seniors Card Group for their ongoing assistance to keep her in the game even though her eye sight was failing.  She also thoroughly enjoyed travelling, particularly her cruises.  Alice enjoyed taking the road less travelled as shown when taking 8 hours to get to the trailer which was only 2 hours away.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
