Obituary of Shirley Fleming

FLEMING, Shirley (nee Martin) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday November 10, 2012 in her 79th year. Predeceased by her cherished husband Harry of over 57 years. Shirley will be missed by her sons Ken (Gabriele) and Mike (Jamie); grandchildren Daryl, Michael, Lisa, Christie, Andrea and all of her great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her sister Patricia, cousins, long-time friend Madeleine and many nieces and nephews. Shirley worked many years at the Alpine Hotel in Stoney Creek and Hogan’s Department Store in Whitehorse and lived in Tapleytown for over 40 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the Nurses and Doctors at the St. Joseph’s Hospital I.C.U. with a special thanks to Dr. Finley and Dr. Cook. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
