On behalf of all Paramedics here in the City of Hamilton, we would like to express our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. For the last year Joe and I got to know your mother and friend quite well. We found her to be an exceptionally thoughtful person and a wonderfully engaging, intelligent woman. We shared many conversations about life and death, and we worked together to try and keep her quality of life as full as possible. She will be missed by us! God Bless.

Dear Nanci ,Ian & Family....I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother Virginia.She was our neighbour for years (Margaret & Preston Salter).and was always willing to go above and beyond to help where she could.She often was at the back door with some of her tasty soup or preserves. Please accept my sympathy at the loss of your mother and grandmother. I met Virginia when I purchased a bedroom set from her as she was preparing to sell her home. That set is now enjoyed by my great niece. I had a couple of great conversations with Virginia and have always remembered her. I always enjoyed her letters to the editor. Although I didn't really know her, she became a small but special part of my life.

Virginia's family My condolences to you on the loss of a great lady. We formed a special bond when I was working part-time at Stoney Creek United Church - she was my proof reader and found any errors before printing whether it be a spelling mistake or a missed comma or period. We did share some good laughs. I have lost a special friend. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Sleep well Virginia! Joyce
