RAFTIS, Susan Loris (nee Haggstrom)

Peacefully after recent surgery at the Hamilton General Hospital, Susan passed away with her family at her bedside on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Forever loved by her husband Ron, daughter Monica Beal (Jay), son Kevin (Lori), sister Karen Butters (Jeff) and brother Don Haggstrom (Laurie). Loving Nana to Matthew, Emma, Patrick and Lilly. Predeceased by her parents, Gunnar and Loris Haggstrom. Remembered by her extended family, Al Raftis (Helen), Donna Marie Torrie (Rob), Colleen Holota (Bill), her nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend Elizabeth Livingstone. Susan was retired from the HWCDSB. Susan will be remembered as a loving gentle person. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be offered on Monday April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road in Hamilton. Burial at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to your charitable organization of choice.
