Obituary of Verla Murdock

MURDOCK, Verla

Peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 9, 2018 at the age of 88 years.  Beloved wife of the late Carl Murdock.  Cherished mother of David, Elaine (David Lennox), Stephen, and Maureen (Paul Bennett).  Loving step grandmother to Christine, Julie and special little sister Hilena.  She is survived by her brothers Don (Barb), Greg (Bunny), sisters-in-law Doreen, Margaret (Mel) and many nieces, nephews and good friends.  Predeceased by brothers Roger (Marilyn) and Larry.  Verla was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Parish CWL for over 50 years and a long time member of the Stoney Creek Tai Chi Society.  She retired from Greif Containers with over 20 years of service.  Cremation has taken place.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
