Obituary of Joan Golding

GOLDING, JOAN

May 12, 1933 – February 19, 2018

We are sad to announce the passing of Joan on February 19, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late Gordon Golding.  Much loved and devoted mother to Sharon (Frank), David (Lori) and Joanne (Paul).  Cherished Grandmother of Olivia, Austin, Brett, Mark and Adam.  Survived and lovingly remembered by her sisters Gemma and Sr. Rosalia.  Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Elva Kane and her siblings Molly, Jim, Teresa, Fr. Joe, Imelda and Norman.  Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews across Canada and in Virginia. Dear sister-in-law to Bill, Marlene, Brian and Alice-Mary.  Joan was a social worker and bereavement counselor who touched many with her kindness and compassion.  The family thanks the staff at Arbour Creek for all of their care and support.  Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Vigil Prayers Thursday at 3:30 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 934 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek on Friday February 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment to follow at Our Lady Of The Angels Catholic Cemeteries, 681 Mud St E, Stoney Creek.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
