JOHNSTONE, Frances Theresa (nee Hamelin)

Peacefully passed away, after a brief illness, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late George, who passed away on January 21, 2016. Much loved mother of Rob (Lynn), Donna (Michael), Carole (Terry). Cherished grandmother of Terri (Tom), Jen (Dan), Daniella (Pete), Michael (Nicole), Aja and great-grandmother of Carter, Sawyer, Emery, Adrianna, Jacklyn, Jaycen and Landon. Survived by her brother Stan (Maryjo) and her many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital, especially Dr. Amy Woods, for your extraordinary care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Parish, 200 Mount Albion Road, Hamilton on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
