Obituary of William "Bill" Robert Costley

COSTLEY, William (Bill) Robert 
June 3, 1930 to January 6, 2018
It is with deep sadness that the family of Bill Costley announce his passing into the presence of his Lord and Saviour in his 88th year, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton, ON. We thank the staff of Ward 3 West so much for their wonderful care and attention to Bill. Left to mourn are his wife Joyce (Tournay), to whom he was married to for over 61 years. His sons who loved him so much and were all by his side: Robert (Karen), Paul (Marianne), Donald (Linda), Allen (Jean) and Christopher (Roxanne). He leaves 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters, 5 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandson. Predeceased by his parents William and Marion (Reyburn) Costley. Will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Jessie Costley. Bill was a 26 year retiree from Dofasco. Once retired he and Joyce enjoyed some travel and good times. He was a wonderful dad and led a Godly, quiet life. Bill and Joyce and their family were involved with Stoney Creek Alliance Church, where they had many good friends. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
