I was lucky to have met and shared conversation and laughter at a Davidson Barbeque
get-together, and other events that Sue took me too. I will miss this Feisty lady very much, she brought light into a room.

My sincere condolences to Claire's family on her untimely passing.
I remember her well from her years at the old Hamilton Police Department. Claire was always a pleasure to speak with since she was so down to earth. The last time I saw her, she was a representative for a winery. I wish now that I had maintained a contact with her. We lost a true humanitarian. May she rest in peace.

Oh Claire. You were a shining light in our lives. You "joined" our family 40 years ago, bonding with Mom and Dad, Bob and Ruth Land, over your shared love of history, family ties, and baseball! How many times did you watch a game with Mom over the phone? We will always treasure the many Christmases, Easters, Thanksgivings and birthdays we celebrated with you. Chinese takeout will never be the same!
Missing you terribly, loving you always,
Karen and Dwight, Meaghan and Carli Prine

A candle lit to light the way.
There is a word of grief the sounding token.
There is a word bejeweled with bright tears.
The saddest word fond lips have ever spoken.
A little word that breaks the chain of years.
Its utterance must ever bring emotion.
The memories it crystals cannot die.
Tis known in every land, on every ocean,
It is
Goodbye.

Claire, you certainly did have the last word...I’m going to miss u ,my friend!!
I have a lifetime of memories we shared from grade school, high school, adult life and your final journey.you
taught me so much especially these past months..doing everything on your terms...
We shared many laughs , some tears along the way but we were always there for each other.
Your wish for us is to stay strong, say hello as we pass strangers, and assist whenever possible..
Special thanks to the Bob Kemp hospice for their excellent care of dear Claire.
Till we meet again
Friend always Gin

Dear Claire:
If anyone could ever fill a void in someone's life, it would be you. What do we do now? Your terrific sense of humour and your support whenever it was needed cannot be fulfilled by any other person on this earth. I guess you are needed in heaven and that is why you were taken at such a young age. Keep it rolling up there. Keep them laughing and let us know that you are okay. I will love you forever and so will all the gang. I miss you already. I'll see you again.....I just know it. God bless you, Claire, and be happy. Love, Gloria

Yes Claire, you left just as you said you would. In your time, in your way! We loved the joy you shared with each of us Oct 27. We loved your text interest in our travels as we journeyed across the West the last 8 weeks. You gave us a framework of how we may all adjust our remaining walk of life. What a teacher, motivator and inspiration you became. Thank you for touching each of us in a very special way. Bye for now.
