Obituary of Hilda May Alice Ferguson

FERGUSON, Hilda May Alice Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late John Ferguson (1989). Loving mother of the late Patricia Southall, Victoria Ferguson and Barbara Harrison. Cherished Grandmother of Ron Southall (Darlene Nichols), Wayne Southall (Wendy), Ronda Jaggard (Roger), Corrine Garbutt, Bradley Harrison (Megan Plewes), Jason Harrison and Christine Harrison. Dear Great-Grandmother of Candice, Alison, Shane, Kevin, Adele, Kyle, Kayla and Nicole. Hilda was predeceased by her sister Florence and her brother Bill. Also survived by nieces June, Hilda, Marion, Thelma and their families. Born on Ellis Avenue, Hilda has always lived in the East end of the city. She was always available to help family as they were her first priority and they enjoyed her fantastic baking. Hilda belonged to the PEO Chapter and also Fairfield-St. David’s United Church until its closing. She played on three different Euchre groups and enjoyed getting lone hands. Hilda had many adventures during her 100 years and we will greatly miss hearing about them. She will always be loved and sorely missed by her friends and family. Visitation will take place at Pioneer Memorial United Church, 1974 King St. E., Hamilton, on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. Private Interment Hamilton Cemetery.
