Obituary of Daniel George Ferguson

FERGUSON, Daniel George (January 4,1935-September 13,2010) Dan passed away peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, into the care of God, early Monday, September 13, 2010. He will be sadly missed by his wife Donna (nee Wilson) of 54 years. He is predeceased by his son David Howard Ferguson and survived by his son Craig Ferguson (Marni) of Vancouver Island, daughters Diana Bisutti (Gerry), and Dawn Ferguson (Wayne) both of Stoney Creek, and his youngest son Dwight Ferguson of Toronto. He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren. Dan belonged to the Canadian Air Force in the 1950s stationed in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He then moved on, where he worked at Consolidated Bathurst for 25 years, where he volunteered as Fire Chief in charge of Fire Prevention and Protection. Dan was also a volunteer fire fighter for Stoney Creek for 18 years, and was a member of the Ontario Fire Fighters Association where he was named President during the 1986 term. Dan retired from the City of Hamilton in 1994. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service was held at Tapleytown Cemetery.
