Obituary of Daniel Lee Roy

ROY, Daniel Lee (Dan) passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017 in Hamilton, Ontario after his battle with cancer. Dan is survived by his daughters Aimee (Mike) and Beckie (Mike); sisters Darlene (Keith), Donna (Mike), Robyn (Doug); grandson Clyde; nieces Rhonda, Melinda (Terry), Krista (Bobby), Ashley, Nickey (Mike), Lexi; nephews Dan (Jenn), Joshua; Lovingly remembered by his children's mother, Bonnie and her family and stepdaughter Dee Ann; stepson Joe. He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian, father Leonard, brother Roger and wife Karen. He enjoyed family time, classic cars, woodworking, canoeing, hiking, fishing, long walks with his beloved dog Lily, his record collection and searching for antiques. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, Ontario on Saturday, September 23 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the celebration. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP). The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Peter's Hospital, Bayshore and Paramed homecare.
