WETHERELT, Laurie John Albert

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on Monday, September 11, 2017 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Grace for 53 years. Devoted father of Kelly (Syl) Riel, Brenda Wetherelt (Ivan), Cyndi Bailey (Aaron). Much loved grandpa of Todd (Summer), Jesse, Laurie, Carter and great-grandpa of Parker and Dominic. He will be greatly missed by his best-friend Fred Roussel (Eleanor) and by many other family members and friends. Laurie retired from Dofasco with 30 years of service. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of Hamilton General 7W for all of their wonderful care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
