I am so sorry to hear about Joans passing. I just heard and am distressed that I couldn't pay my respects to Joan and her family. I worked with Joan for many years. She was a wonderful woman and nurse. Joan was so very proud of her family. We were part of "The Jelly Bean Club". Which were a group of nurses that went out for dinners and shared many fond memories. I also would meet up with Joan at the pool occasionaly. Please convey my sympathy to her beloved family.

To a great lady that a smile that would light up a room. You will be sadly missed in the neighborhood where you lived for so many years. i will always remember my growing up years spent at the Bruch home and all the dinners and excursions that I was so luck to be part of. Dear Dave, Cathy, Barb, Peter, Janet, Carolyn and families, I was so saddened to hear of your Mum's passing. Throughout the years, she was a special neighbour and friend who our family knew we could count on if in need. If Liz and I were ever alone and in trouble, my Mum always told us to go see Mrs. Bruch (and Peter) for help. She knew that your mother would know what to do... and she had the key. I will always remember as a child, the fun fireworks evenings around your sandbox, the funny cat conversations (Fluffy, "The Cadger", Buttons, Bangles, etc.) and your Mum in complete control of a house full of kids! During my visits back to Stoney Creek since I have had my own family, your mother and I always had a moment to have a nice, candid chat about how life was going for her and for the family. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to all of you at this difficult time. Kathryn XO

Hello to our extended Family - so very very sorry to hear of Joan's passing - there were times growing up when it seemed like we had 2 "moms" ... ours and yours ... she was sure one incredible lady who led an amazing life, touched countless people, left quite an impression in our neighborhood and certainly was fun to laugh with ... especially if we were watching MASH with her or the old home movies ...
