I worked with Dorothy for many years at Joseph Brant in the 70s and 80s. Dorothy was the head nurse when I started my first job . She guided me ( and all the other new grads) to think critically and treat our patients and colleagues with respect. And we had some fun along the way. I'm sure getting off to a solid start in our careers, wherever they lead us, was in some part due to her guidance and support. Rest in peace, Dorothy . .

My family and I had the honour of knowing Dorothy for 27 years. She was a truly kind woman with a great sense of humour. Dorothy was always there when I needed her, especially with my three boys and later with my special dog, Simon. You will be missed.

I worked with Dorothy for many years at Joseph Brant in the 70's. She was a formidable woman with a desire to lead her ward/team towards excellence in nursing care. I learned many things from her and admired her ability to manage her team with an iron fist. There was another side to Dorothy that was warm,funny,kind and sincere. She loved a party and always relaxed to show her fun side. Dorothy always spoke of her family in England and growing up there. She loved England but made Canada her home. God bless her. In the arms of Jesus now.
