Aunt Bette, I am so very sad that you are gone. Yourself and my dad were such role models to how we should treat one another. You found such joy and happiness in all the positives of who we were and never saw the negatives. I will always remember you calling our house to chat and catch up on what was going on in our lives. I will remember camping and endless family get togethers. I will always think of you when I am idly twirling my hair. A habit I could only have picked up from you. Please give my dad a hug for me and tell him that I love him and miss him every day. I know he will be happy to have Bubbles with his once again. Our world is a better place for having you been a part of it. Love you and miss you. Carrie

Ted & I have known Bette for over 30 years. One of our very best vacations ever was spent with Bette & Jim riding our HD's around California 20 years ago this month. What a blast. We'll never forget it. Bette is one of the cheekiest people I ever had the honour to meet! And she'll be missed by so many. And yes, when I think of her, I DO smile! TK and KK

Dear Bette, The world was a better place with you in. After every visit in the last few weeks I would come away wondering if you realized the severity of your situation. I think you did and just accepted things as they were. Never complaining! When asked " How's Bette?" I would simply say "She's just Bette" ! That was a GOOD thing. WIll Miss you always, Carolyne

Dear Grandma, Your soul was of great admirability. Not much was able to phase you; the many times we went to visit and were in awe of you. Like the time we went and you had a screw sticking an inch out of your ankle from when you had broken it many years back. You insisted that it was fine and there was no need to go to the hospital, I'm glad we didn't listen to you that time! Or the times we visited and the stories you shared like how your uncle Gerry use to swim to school everyday. On many occasions you would tell us how your dog Cobie was stealing your sour jujubes, you always made us laugh. Such fond memories were made over the past few years. You were such a tough cookie. Thank you for showing us that life lived with very few cares is much more fun then all that worry! I Love You I'll Miss You Love, Sam XOXO (granddaughter)

Grandma, There are many memories from these past couple of years that I will always cherish. You were such an easy going person, who served up a ton of sass every opportunity you had. You showed so much strength and resilience, no matter what life threw at you. I know now you are in a happy place now with loved ones who have passed, and with all the animals you could ever want! "Those we love don't go away they walk beside us every day unseen, unheard but always near still loved still missed and very dear." Grandma you brought a light to my world no one else could. Your sass and humour will always be missed. You took every negative and turned it away. I will be forever grateful to Bette for raising a wonderful son. Bette faced her medical crisis with dignity and bravery. She never complained and managed to light up a room with laughter, even when we knew her pain was unbearable. Bette you will be missed Love May
