Obituary of Leposava "Lilly" Velickovic

VELICKOVIC, Leposava 

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Baba Lilly (Leposava) Velickovic (nee Stojanovic).  She passed quietly with family at her side at the Hamilton General Hospital.  The 4th child of 7, she is survived by her sister Vera in Serbia and brother Dragi of Hamilton.  She will be greatly missed by all.  She is predeceased by husband Branislav and son Milan.  She leaves behind grieving daughter Mirjana and son-in-law Zoran Stevanovic, grandsons Dejan & Mladen and son Ljubomir Velickovic (Lou) and his wife Dragica with their children Marko, Marina, Natasha and Aleksandra Zaric along with her husband Tihomir (Kiko) and great-granddaughters Neda and Nora.  Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and her family here and in Serbia.  Special thanks to the staff at Orchard Terrace for their love and care for the last 6 years.  Many thanks also the staff at 7 South at the Hamilton General.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, June 5th from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 1401 Barton St. E.,  Hamilton on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 12 noon with The Very Reverend Vojislav Pavlovic officiating.  Interment Woodland Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca.
