So very very sorry for your loss. Mr. Strobl was an incredibly passionate and memorable teacher, and provided such amazing opportunities that we continue to remember and cherish even though it's been almost 15 years! He went so over and above to make the classroom and learning French enjoyable. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Strobl was a teacher of mine during my time at Sherwood Secondary. He is one of the few teachers I remember with fondness for his humor and kindness. I remember so clearly a time when he came to get his car cleaned and was surprised to see five of his students working there part-time. Monday morning we came into his class and he gifted us with some chocolate bars as a thank you. Its something that stood out for all of us. He was an amazing teacher and he will be greatly missed. My condolences for your loss.

Generations of students were energized by Mark's gift for languages, culture, and inspired originality. As a colleague writing curriculum, developing dynamic presentations,or navigating with good humour the day to day challenges of school life, Mark was a valued member of any group he was with. He will be well remembered.

I miss you my friend. I miss our sarcastic(but loving) conversations, your wit and wisdom and your caring. Your struggles are over now. I will miss more times together, fondly remember those we had, but you will be in my heart, always. Love and hugs, Karen

I was shocked to hear about Mark's passing. Mark and I worked together at HCI, Glendale, our longest stint at Glendale. He was a teacher that inspired both staff and students. I remember the time he had his class put on a Paris Cafe. Changed up the classroom, complete with tablecloths on the tables, France decor and lovely French foods. That is just one of many wonderful ways he inspired everyone. When he lived on King Street, we would visit back and forth at each other's homes. The world will miss Mark - no doubt!!
