Obituary of Mary Lena Chernesky

CHERNESKY, Mary Lena

December 30, 1922 – April 28, 2017

Passed away peacefully, at her home, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Stanley Chernesky, parents, sisters and brothers, who will welcome her in her new journey. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Rosemarie (Trudy) Finockio. Cherished Baba to her grandchildren Kristin and Jeff Vaughan, Glenn and Andrea Finockio. Mary was a woman who was sweet and sassy. She left a mark on those who loved and knew her. In the course of her 94 years, she met many who will remember her smile, wit and the time they shared chatting. Special thanks to MaryAnn who never left her side and brought joy and laughter to Mary’s life, her doctors and nurses, and to all those who crossed her path in her lifetime. There will be a void left in our hearts; our only solace is that she is reunited with all who have gone before her and she will continue to smile and watch over us. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. A private family interment will be held.
