Lane, we are sorrowed to learn of our loss of Debi. We loved working together with you and her for a couple of years and rejoiced with you in her love, grace, kindness and insights. May God be sufficient for all of you as you take the next haltering steps of your lives.

To Lane and family,
debi will be remembered fondly as a woman of great faith, great works, and humility. She volunteered in my classroom for five years, working with English Language Learners. She had a heart for newcomers to Canada. Her creativity, work ethic, and dedication were commendable. She will be missed.

I will miss Aunt Debi and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Aunt Debi was a very special, kind and loving woman. I will continue to look up to her in spirit. I can only aspire to be half of the "Woman of Faith" she was and will always be in my heart. On a lighter note, I will never be able to eat a cheez-it without thinking of her.
The last time I was blessed to be with the Fusilier family in Canada Aunt Debi gave me a book to read, One Thousands Gifts by Ann Voskamp. It is a "dare to live life fully right where you are...." This book changed my life going forward.
It is absolutely the kind of book you cannot put down. In Chapter 8 Ann quotes Ralph Emerson, "All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen."
To my Uncle Lane and my cousins Austin, Evan, Eric and Laurie I pray that Debi's joyful and kind spirit heals your hearts in the days to come. We will hold on to her precious memory and look forward to the day when we join her. My prayers are with you all.
Much love, Guin & Kevin

Dear Lane!
We have been praying for Debbie for many months, asking for her healing.
Our Father chose to heal her His way...
It is painful to be left behind, to feel the loss. We share your grief.
Lane, you are a man of soft heart and great love for the Lord. You have always been an example of faith for us. Keep looking up, keep looking for the City whose architect is God... She is there, free from pain, she is waiting for you.
We will continue praying for you and for your children.
With love in Him,
Anna and Vladimir Bortsov

So sorry for your loss.
Debi was a wonderful person, and always a quick smile and kind word for me as a young single woman in Waco. She was influential in being a role model for praying for the lost nations, one at a time at 6am weekly with another gal, Montra. I went on to do short term missions in Africa. Upon my return, she pointed me in the right direction to take the Perspectives course to keep that heart for the world alive. Small encounters with big impact on my life. Lane , my days in Waco and church are so memorable due in part to your family and pastorate. May our Lord comfort you all.

DEar Lane, I knew debi only briefly but saw her as a quiet, supportive person to her family and the new form of ministry you were establishing in Hamilton. Her love of bold colour showed to me an underlying strength and love of life. I remember her excitement when she first came to our home and had the real key lime pie she grew up with, not so green.
I am sad with all of you but know God's peace will uphold you and hope you are comforted with many good family memories. sincerely, Juliane Gruneberg

Debi was a very special woman to may people, she seemed to bring beauty and Jesus' love to many. Many, including myself, will miss her because she treated us as special and she cared. But even though debi loved and cared for many there was never any doubt that her greatest love and joy, after our Lord Jesus, was for her family and for times with her children and grandchildren. We will grieve that she is no longer with us and will look forward to the day that we meet again.
May the Lord's grace be very real to you her family at this time.
Love,
Caroline

Lane ,words simply cannot express our feelings of loss and remorse at this time.
Debi was and is a wonderful person. One of those rare people that actually cared and gave of herself for the betterment of others. You are a fortunate man in that you found the love of your life and you shared so many wonderful years together.
This is a time of tears and remembrance but also a time of celebration of a wonderful life lived to its fullest. I know you are a man of courage but take the opportunity to seek comfort from those who love you and Debi.
Our prayers and condolences to you Lane and Austin, Evan, Eric, and Laurie and families.

Our prayers and condolences to you Lane and Austin, Evan, Eric, and Laurie and families. Debi was truly a bright light and inspiration to us during our days on the Ministry Team at Philpott. Her hospitality to the leadership team week after week as we laboured together drawing up a plan for the direction of PMC was truly appreciated. Her standing by you Lane in support and encouragement as you worked through the idiosyncrasies of us Canadians was a strength to your vision and ministry amongst us in those early years. I can't imagine your pain and grief as you say good bye to your life mate and ministry team mate, all I know is that our Sovereign Gracious Loving God will provide you with all the comfort and support to carry you all through these days of loss.
I'm sorry that we will not be able to be with you and your family on Friday as you say your final farewell, both Candie and I will be upholding you, your family and the PMC family to his throne of Grace in prayer.
Isaiah 26:3-4 "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock".

It's hard to put into words what debi meant to my wife and I over the years after she and Lane moved their family to Hamilton! Her wisdom, her friendship, her strong support and leadership, her no-beating-around-the-bush way of saying what needed to be said or needed to be asked, and especially over the past 3 years her support and friendship of Barb after Barb's accident. She was a person whom God used in truly remarkable ways in so many lives--and this is said, not because this is the kind of thing you're supposed to say when a dear sister in the Lord goes home, but because it is really true. Her life is an inspiration--and the world is not as bright a place now--it's not as warm and friendly a place since debi left us. We will carry on, because we have to, but everyone who knew debi will surely miss her. Thank you debi for being God's servant in our lives! We will never forget.

What a beautiful woman inside and out! I have fond memories of her at Fellowship Bible Church as she loved on all of the children at FBC. I'm quite sure she didn't know it, but she inspired me to homeschool my own children and I am forever grateful to both Lane and debi for unknowingly encouraging me on that journey. She has left this earth having done exactly what God commanded her to do - Share God's redeeming love with others! She gets to hear those wonderful words "Well done my good and faithful servant!"
My love goes out to all of you as you grieve the loss of this special daughter of God.

My sincerest condolences to Lane and the family.
My fondest memories of debi are the 2 weeks I spent with her, Lane and the Woods in Italy in 2006 and the many many months I worked with her and Derek Wilson preparing their roles in PMC's production of Shadowlands. Her compassion, sensitivity and kindness flavored everything she did, no matter where she was. Her deeply-rooted faith was an inspiration to me right to the end, and especially at the end.

We continue to pray for all of you in this loss.
