Obituary of Ignac Korosec

KOROSEC, Ignac Passed away peacefully, with family by his side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 61 years to Maria. Loving father to Frank (Cindy) and Bernadine (Martin). Proud grandfather to Jessica (Kris), Stephanie, Samantha, and Daniel, and great-grandfather to Mason and Morgan. Ignac is survived by his brother Tony and his family in Winnipeg, and will also be missed by many family members and friends in Canada, the U.S., and Slovenia. The family would like to express our appreciation to the team in the East Wing ICU at the General Hospital, and also the staff at Queens Garden Nursing Home. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church,125 Centennial Parkway North, on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
