We are very saddened to hear of Phils passing Steph. Although we have not been friends for a long period, it dose not take a person much time to know Phil was a great and friendly man. You guy's welcomed us to the camp right away and we felt then that we had just met some great people. I am sure he will be watching over his lawn, making sure Odis does not leave you any unwanted presents.
Our thoughts are with you

We'll never forget the campfires! Jacob always said that Uncle Phil built the best campfires. Mike remembers having some of the best conversations with Phil around the campfire. And I'll never forget his great big smile and positive attitude towards life! May he rest in peace and comfort among friends up in heaven! Hang on to the great memories Steph, Lucie, Sarah, and your wonderful families. Xoxo

I am lucky to have two fantastic Uncles, Phil being one. I remember being four going on five when Uncle Philip visited my parents to assist my Dad in constructing his greenhouse. I can't remember how long I watched them from the garden step but I do remember how much fun they had while working.
Later in my life I was so fortunate to visit Phil and Steph's home for an extended vacation. I was well looked after and what struck me about Phil was how much he loved life in Canada. And boy, did he show me as much of Ontario as he could.
While I will miss him very much, my heart felt sympathy goes out to my lovely cousins, Sarah and Lucie, and to my fantastic Auntie Stephanie, whom wasn't just a wife to Phil, but a best friend, a soulmate, his guardian angel.
Love to you all x

I only had the pleasure of knowing Phil for a short time but I have so many happy memories of spending time with him and Steph. S'mores around the pool in Florida along with giggles and sunshine is my favourite! A true gent and fighter until the sad end. Rest in peace Uncle Phil knowing you are loved and cherished by all who knew you.

Dear Stephanie, Sarah, Lucy and family,
There are so many precious memories from past summers at the family cottage that we all shared with Phil, Stephanie, Sarah and Lucy. Myself, Mackenzie, and each of my siblings, my parents, extended family and many friends absolutely adored Phil. To our family he became a friend, a brother, an uncle and a buddy. As always, we will continue to remember Phil as the fun-loving, caring and gentle man that he was.
Love, Cheri & Mackenzie Lowe

Dear Stephanie, Sarah and Lucy,
Our most sincere condolences goes out to each of you. Phil was a wonderful man who loved his family and cherished his friends very much. We will always remember the good times at the cottage listening to his stories and funny English sayings. Our kids adored 'Uncle Phil' and they will never forget him. He was a gentle soul with a big heart and zest for life. We were very grateful to see him, if only briefly, last summer - even though he wasn't well, he put on a brave face and a smile that was inspiring. We know how difficult it is to lose a loved one to this ugly disease. Phil wouldn't want us to be sad but would want us to celebrate his life so that is what we will do - we will fondly remember him in a special place that he loved - on his boat with his beautiful wife, children and their families. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of TR26Fyou at this time. Love to all!!

I was quite young when I met Phil and his family. It wasn't long before they became wonderful family friends. Some of my most cherished childhood memories involve the Hellewells. Phil had the greatest twinkle in his eye when he smiled. I'm sad we didn't reconnect sooner.
Stephanie, Sarah and Lucie.. I send so much love to you all.
RIP Phil... always have been and will continue to be in my heart and in my thoughts.
