Marlene ....David and family. Jim and Lynn here in Kamloops. Thinking of all of you during this trying time of the passing of your Mother and Aunt Doris. Living so far away we always as kids cherished the visit by your Mom and Uncle Stan and of course you Marlene and David when you drove thru to visit other relatives. Due to the distance between our homes it was not many visits but they were and always will be great memories. When our last parent leaves us we know we are the next generation to lead the way for our siblings alone....no more guidance and wisdom from our parents. Aunt Doris is now gone to be with Uncle Stan ....the great couple will be together once again!!!!.......What a beautiful picture.....Always that genuine smile!! ....Love and embrace the memories!!!!!........Jim and Lynn

Please accept our deepest sympathy. She was a great soul and always had positive thoughts, she lived her life to the fullest. I will miss the long telephone conversations with her as she always was upbeat and very witty.she always ended the call with "thanks for the visit" .The best we can do not now is to hope,to believe,to care and remember! Much love to all .Sonya and Brian and family.

Our sincere & heartfelt condolences to the family of Doris Karchut. We r thinking of you all at this difficult time. We grieve with you in your loss of Doris.
My aunt Doris was such a special, kind and generous lady. Such an awesome cook and an excellent seamstress!! My mother Bella (her sister) & I, Catherine Boila would fly to Aunt Doris and Uncle Stan's beautiful home in Stoney Creek at Easter time. We would always take a drive to Niagara Falls for the day. The weather was always gorgeous and my Aunt Doris always made sure I had a new Easter coat that she had sewn for me. She used to sew lovely dresses for me to wear in grade school in Winnipeg. One summer back in 1972 she took me shopping for material so she could help me sew a hot pant outfit for the new school year in Wpg. I wore that outfit to the first day of school so proud that I had sewn this beautiful jacket and hot pant outfit to match with her guidance! I treasure those memories forever! The last time I saw my Aunt Doris was a few years ago at her home in Stoney Creek where my husband Bill and I took her to Niagara Falls then out for lunch. We had stayed overnight with her as she wouldn't hear of us staying at a hotel. I often spoke with my aunt on the phone after this while she went to live in her condo then onto her assisted living apartment. I will surely miss her as after my mother Bella passed on I felt a need to talk to her often. She always said to me to phone her whenever I wanted to...Anytime and she was always there to lend a listening ear and chit chat!! RIP Aunty! Hugs luv U Forever!!
