Obituary of Petar Jovetic

JOVETIC, Petar Suddenly at home on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Mary “Maria” for 64 years. Dear father of Alex (Mona Lisa) and Milan “Mike” (Lysa). Loving grandfather to Michael, Nicholas, Jason (Devlin) and Caroline. Predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters in the former Yugoslavia. Petar will be sadly missed by many Kumovi and friends in Canada, Austria and the U.S. He enjoyed a full life as a retiree from Stelwire after 33 years of service. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pomen at 7:30 p.m. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Fathers Vojislav Pavlovic and Stevo Stojsaviljevich officiating. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations in Petar’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
